The files
On every plant's page, under "Take it with you", you'll find three plant labels – Name, Botanical name and Full – each as STL, 3MF and SVG.
The full label is 141 × 58 mm for every plant (without the stake). It shows the name, the botanical name, and light and water as five symbols each – the same levels as in the fact sheet, explained in the basics – plus a QR code to the plant's page. Up to the plant's level the symbols are raised, the rest are sunk 0.4 mm into the plate. The QR code needs contrast: a light plate and dark lettering.
3D printing
- STL: a single part. Plate and stake go up to 2.4 mm, lettering and symbols up to 3.2 mm. Change colour at 2.4 mm, layer height 0.2 mm.
- 3MF: plate and lettering as two parts, already assigned to filament 1 (plate) and 2 (lettering). Use the same material for both. You can click away the "invalid config" message in Bambu Studio 2.8.2 (fixed from 2.8.3).
Laser
The SVG file is set up in millimetres, with the layers separated by colour: red cut (outline), black engrave (lettering, symbols, QR code), blue score (empty level symbols). For a ready-made blank, say made of metal, switch off the red layer and just engrave.
